Dandelion Fluff and Mothers

Dandelion fluff and mothers really have nothing to do with each other... I just wanted to combine my picture today with my thoughts for my Moms...

I am one of the luckiest girls in the world. I have something that a lot of people don't have. I have two somethings that a lot of people don't have. I have a mom AND a mother-in-law who are my best friends.

When I hear other people complaining about their horrendous mother-in-law, I am so sad for them... and I smile gleefully inside, because I am one of the blessed ones. I have a mother-in-law that I really hate to put the "in-law" behind... she's "mom" to me. Sometimes I think the best thing about marrying Brandon was getting to be in his family. (And that's saying a lot, because Brandon is pretty amazing himself! ;)

Some people never talk to their moms... I talk to mine on the phone almost every day (sometimes more than once) and we can still find things to write letters about to each other, and to talk about until the wee hours of the morning when we're visiting. She has done so much for me all through my life, and I don't doubt that she'll always be there for me!

Lynda, thank you for being "mom" to me. Thank you for accepting me with all my flaws, and loving me in spite of them. Thank you for being there so many times when I needed you. I won't ever forget your support through my third miscarriage. You'll never know how much you've helped me, and how much you inspire me all the time. I hope to be like you someday. I love you.

Mom, thank you for loving me, and for always making me feel like I am somebody wonderful. Thank you being the answer to my prayers more times than I can count. You'll never know how much your words of encouragement and love mean to me, and how much the little things (and BIG things) you do help me and my family. It's a compliment when people say I am like you. I love you.

Happy Mothers Day!!!

Mindy... just when I thought you couldn't possibly be anymore wonderfully amazing than I already thought you were.... you write this! I wish to be more like you.

They're both so lucky to have you.

What a great mothers day- and great tribute post! I bet your "mom's" know how lucky they are to have you for a daughter :)
