I Might Be Too Busy to Blog Much...

Apparently I must not have done a good job as the Ward Activities Chairman, since I only got one party done before I got released! No, no... it was really because I got a new calling... I am now the Young Women President of our ward, and I am really excited! I am glad I get to be involved with all the girls, but especially my own daughter. We're going to Girls Camp in just a few weeks, so I'm trying to learn all the ropes before then. I am so grateful for all the opportunities that I have to serve others, and especially to serve my Father in Heaven.

Oh Mindy, you'll do so great! You will be a stellar examplar to those girls... I have loved that calling (I had two rounds with it in separate wards probably because my learning curve is so slow...) and found so much help despite time crunches and nursing babies...
You go girl! What was Aubrey's reaction?

Mindy you will be an amazing YM president. I figure with my four girls I will have my turn. Funny thing: My hubby has been the YM president the last four years and I run the Cub Scouts. Go figure. Someday I'll get a turn with the girls. :) Have fun at camp, I think I'm a little jealous. Maybe a lot.

How exciting for you, Mindy. I've been the YW president in my ward for almost 2 1/2 years. I don't know how much longer I'll be in, but it has been very time consuming and very rewarding. I love the girls! Funny thing, Veronica came into YW just a couple of months after I was called, so I've been in with her the whole time.

You will do amazing. We'll have to compare notes. How many girls do you have? I had 42 girls until our ward split. Now I have 22.

Good luck! and have fun!

YEAH!! You are going to do AWESOME in YW!!! I got put in as a Laurel Advisor a couple months ago. It's so fun. I still feel like I haven't a clue about anything, I still say the theme the "old" way. But it's SO FUN!!

Good Luck. I'm positive that you're going to be the best YW president Vernal has ever seen!!!

Good for you to be so excited. That is so refreshing. Too often we hear it's too much or stressful. Good job!!! And good luck. My dream ever since I left Young Women's was to be a leader. Finally 3 1/2 years ago, I was called and spent 2 1/2 years there. I hope to be back when my daughter reaches YW.
