getting a new job + not getting the insurance papers filled out yet = no insurance coverage
results of MRI = crushed growth plate
crushed growth plate + young boy = worry and check ups for a few years to come to make sure bone is still growing
cast for > 6 weeks + NO weight on leg - baseball = sad boy
doctor + x-rays + orthopaedic surgeon + MRI + cast - insurance = a hell of a mess

That's all very crappy!
So sorry! We did the no insurance for a while and it is a pain! And costly. I hope he heals quickly.
Oh man! That totally STINKS! Will they cover ANYTHING once it's filled out?? STINKY SITUATION!! Sorry about that!
Oh man, I am glad that he doesn't have to have surgery though. That is a plus, but all the rest just plain stinks. Poor guy...
Bad day...bad day. I'm so sorry about the no insurance thing. We've done the doctor + the x-rays + the orthopedic surgeon - the MRI + the insurance x 2, and even with the insurance and without the MRI, it STILL wasn't pretty.
That definitely sucks. Remeber Sheyerosemeyer and count your blessings???
Felicia's comment must make you feel better!! :)
This really stinks. I am so sorry! Same question.....I hope you can get it covered AFTER the papers are filled out.
Take care!
oh mindy. my heart just hurt for you when i read that. if it makes you feel at all better...i thought it was one of the most clever blog entries that i've ever read. i know that totally erases all of the bad news. love you! p.s. does tyler want to take up sudoku maybe?
Poor Tyler and poor you for having him down for 6 weeks. I know that kid and it is going to be hard to keep him down and happy. He can come stay with me and sit on the couch all day and watch movies. Maybe this way I could really handle him.
Wow, that stinks, I'm sorry! :-( Last fall when I had my staph infection and had to go to the emergency room, it was a little costly for us (more than what we wanted to pay) 'cause my work has crappy insurance (but now Jeff has a good job w/ pretty good insurance). Anyway, I hope Tyler recovers quickly!
Sorry, I hear ya...moving across country and having a baby with no insurance was very costly (and still is) I feel your pain.
That is just soo sad math! Just one more reason I hate math! ;) I love your couch! Sooo cute! Good luck with solving all your math problems....just remember....at some point it has to all change...one way or another! :)
Oh my land....I just read about your friends pinata....I clicked on the link where she got the idea from......that woman and I could be GREAT friends! Why didn't I think of that....I actually made my own pinata once...it was a holy mess and took an adult to break it! So funny! Thanks for sharing!
OH MY GOODNESS OH MY GOODNESS!! That's what I'm afraid of!! We haven't had insurance for over a year (until May 1st that is) and I was constantly dreading something happening!! Especially with Travis driving a motorcyle; I told him if he crashed he better die cause then I'd have his life insurance but I definately couldn't cover anything less!! Good Luck; I hope you get the insurance soon, that Tyler keeps growing and that the next 6 weeks go by quickly!!
Oh man that really stinks, tell tyller we are thinking and praying for him
I don't remember taking this kind of math. What is it called?
I am so sorry! Poor guy, I know what it's like to stay off your feet and it's hard. Tell him we love him and are so sorry!
oh mind...ouch! hope your boy gets through it...what a crappy time of year to be stuck inside! i totally feel for him and you!!
oh, this just sucks!!! i'm so sorry!
How miserable. Hope things look up for you. Nothing like medical bills and trying to get "healthy" to make your finances "sick". Good luck!
Well Crap, that's just not cool. I hope things turn out okay.
