Update: I just played it cool... decided I'd see how long he lasted. He had his tent set up back there. About an hour after I got home I was on the phone, and he came in and wandered around the house for awhile while I talked. He also gave me a couple of hugs. Then I told him I was glad he was back. He brought his tent in after he ate dinner with us. Pretty easy, I'd say. ;)
I love you but I need a break. You'll probably figure out I'm in the backyard. I'm sorry I've been rude lately. I deserve to do chores. I just need time away from siblings, parents (etc.) I'm staying out there till Saturday March 6, 2010 10:00 a.m. So please don't bother me please.

I love you
p.s. I'm serious about it all.

Good thing that he put 2010, I would be worried. Let us know how this adventure turns out. Does he have a tent and blankets and food? I think this would be fun to try, but I would just call it camping and it would be a break from school and homework instead.
I love that he told you where he'd be so you won't worry. I hope the cold front doesn't effect him too much. :)
hahahaha! Seriously laughed out loud! What a cute little man you've got on your hands! :)
That is the most awesome note ever. I want to write one to my family and disappear until March 7, 2010 at 11:00 AM.
that is funny stuff! that's so awesome...i hope he doesn't freeze to death out there in the backyard until 10am.
I also had a laugh out loud moment!! Thank you so much for sharing this!
I chuckled so loud my husband had to come see what was so funny. Very cute. I loves that he's honest and knows what he needs. I do hope it's not too terribly cold out your way right now.
I love it! Please post a follow up so we know how long he lasted...and how did you and Brandon react? Good times...
