I was lucky enough to photograph the gorgeous Jacqi today... and it was so much fun! I was a little disappointed in my new lens... or my lack of experience with my new lens, but how could anyone take a bad picture of this girl??
These are great Mindy! I'm so impressed with how much you've taught yourself. When you have a second, can you send me an email and tell me how you took the jumping picture? Fabulous work!
Jessica, it wasn't complicated to take the jumping picture... I just had her jump in the air, and I think for this one, jump off of a fence. I'd just focus where she was before she jumped, then let the shutter go a few times as she jumped. We got a lot of funny ones, and a few really cute ones!
Amy, I do edit them. I use photoshop cs2. I have SO much to learn, but it is way fun!
Next time we are together I can show you a few things I have learned on photoshop. I don't know if I know much more than you but I might be able to show you a few things. great pictures.
It takes a bit of practice to get used to shooting with lenses with an aperture that is so wide, but after a while, it will be second nature. In the beginning, it is easy to get shots where the nose is in focus and the eye isn't....those kinds of things. Looks to me like you did pretty well!
SUPER CUTE! You might want to talk to Carly. I know she mentioned to me that she had a hard time when she first got her 50mm lens. She might have some tricks for ya!

Good Job Mindy! I love them! Do you edit them afterwards? What program do you use! Really cute pictures and you are right, she is pretty!
