If you didn't watch the Olympics last night, you missed out! I watched one of the most exciting events I have ever witnessed, and I'm really surprised I didn't wake the kids up with my cheering! I did wake Brandon up, but I'm sure he isn't mad at me... 'cause he got to see this!
So, the French relay team decides to talk smack and say that they're going to "smash" the American team, which made this victory even more sweet! There were 4 teams that were way ahead of the World Record line the whole time... it was amazing! The last leg was Jason Lezak, and it really looked like it was impossible for him to beat the French team. They were quite a bit ahead, but no... he closed the gap... they were even... he BARELY pulled ahead and WON!!! They beat the World Record by about 4 seconds! I was screaming at this point, and seriously almost crying. It was so awesome! I still get excited about it!! So, if you missed it, read This article for the full story... and then, go have a good cry since you were silly enough to go to bed instead of watching the Olympics! ;) GO USA!!!!

i always cry when i see things like that on the olympics...i think of those kids and how hard they work to be there and then to see them win a medal...it's too much for my little heart. i wish i would've saw it...we've been away from the tv for so long i forgot they were even happening right now!
Our TV is broken.

Last night was AWESOME!! Joseph was screaming and clapping and he scared the kids! (He served his mission in France and had no baptisms, so he REALLY liked the sweet victory over the Frenchies:)
I am one of the losers that went to bed. My husband told me all about the race though. Yay for the USA! It is nice to stick that in the French's faces!
My hubby and I sat up in bed and were doing all we could do to not wake our kids with our screams! It was AWESOME!!
I saw that! It was SO awesome! I was just sitting there watching it and thinking "Oh, USA will probably win silver or bronze", but then near the end when he started catching up, I started getting excited, then USA came up 1st and I was so excited! Yay for USA and for Michael Phelps winning more gold! Olympics are exciting and I'm excited for the women's gymnastics team competition tonight... go USA!!!
